Neil Murray - CPGA Professional (manager@islandviewgolf.com)

I've been a golf professional for over 30 years. Working in Alberta, B.C. Arizona and California. Since the 80's I've dedicated myself to teaching golf. I've attended seminars by John Jacobs, Butch Harmon, Jim McLean, Paul Runyan and more. Before that I was on the B.C. Jr. Team, Semi-finalist at the Canadian Junior, as well as represented B.C. and Alberta in the Canadian Assistants' Championship finishing 6th in 1972.

What's in the bag:

  • MacGregor Jack Nicklaus JNP 2 - S.W.
  • Titleist 51° forged CS Wedge
  • Callaway Big Bertha 10° Driver
  • Taylor made tour cleek 16°
  • Titleist bulls eye putter

My favourite golf experience was playing Riviera Golf and Country Club in Los Angeles with Jockey Bill Shoemaker and listening to race track stories afterwards.

I've been teaching at Cedar Hill Golf Course and now looking forward to helping new and regular students at Island View.

Hyo Sang Yoon - Apprentice CPGA  Professional
(hyo@islandviewgolf.com)

Hyo Sang Yoon, AKA the "Asian Sensation", is originally from South Korea, but now calls Canada his home. He has a Handicap of 6 and is going for his CPGA rating this August. Hyo plays at least 4 times a week, and is extremely knowledgeable about the game of golf. He looks forward to earning his CPGA certification and taking on a teaching role at Island View Golf Centre.

What's in his bag: Titlelist 905 T Series 10 Degree Driver, Grand Prix Target B002 Iron, and Titlelist Futura Putter.

Quick Golf Tip: Speed up your backswing to ensure you get speed and tempo you need on your downswing.

Favourite Golf Moment: It was a beautiful sunny day at Uplands Golf Course and I was playing with a bunch of my friends. We were playing from the back tee on hole 7, and I landed my drive right down the middle. My second shot with a Hybrid I miss hit slightly and ended having 60yrds left to the pin. I pulled out my trusty 60 degree wedge. I had a perfect lie and there was no wind. I hit the ball cleanly, the ball headed straight to the flag, and went in the cup, no bounce,  for eagle!
