Scoring
System for Overall Winner
The
Island View Golf Drive, Chip & Putt Junior Challenge
scoring program ranks each participant based on cumulative
place finishes during each competition (driving, chipping and
putting, and irons).
For
example, if a competitor has the longest drive, he or she will
have a ranking of one (1). If the same player ranks 10 in
chipping and second in irons, that player’s overall ranking
score will be 13. Now, all the competitor’s scores will be
tabulated based on their combined ranking tally from the three
events. The player with the lowest overall ranking scores
(best combined finish) – much like scores during a 72-hole
golf event – will be crowned the winner.
