Scott
Keenlyside - Head CPGA Professional
(scottk@islandviewgolf.com
)
Scott Keenlyside has been our CPGA Head Professional the past three seasons. His
credentials include having won the 1999 provincial and national CPGA
Professional of the Year awards.
In addition Scott was nominated as the BCPGA Teacher of the
Year in 1997. He has been a CPGA member for 24 years and has worked
as both a Head Professional and Club General Manager before arriving
at Island View. Being
an enthusiast regarding the history of Golf, Scott is the past
president of the B.C. Golf Museum, and served as President of the
BCPGA in 1998.
From a playing perspective Scott has won two provincial
championships, won a number of regional events, and recorded many
top ten finishes.
During
his career Scott has taught in excess of 3,000 lessons.
His success as a teacher has evolved from emphasizing the
importance of "building stronger fundamentals " via practice and
discipline. Perhaps
Scott's strongest advocacy for the game is to have fun!
What's
in his bag: Taylor Made Super Quad 9 degree 460 cc driver, Power Bilt 3 TPS metal, Power Bilt 3-PW Scotch Blades, Power

Quick
Golf Tip: Try
and practice a couple of times a week.
It will do wonders for your game.
If you can't hit balls, then just swing the club in the
back yard.
As Ben Hogan said, " the more I practice the luckier I
get!".
Favourite
Golf Moment: Playing
at Crown Isle in the fall of 06.
Having perhaps my keenest golf student shoot in the 70's
for the first time in his life; and me be his playing partner! Career
